The Cleaner Touch Carpet & Upholstery Cleaners - Carpet cleaning in Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, New Milton, Southampton, Portsmouth, Salibury & Thames Valley areas.

Carpet Cleaning

We currently use two types of system.

One is hot water deep extraction, otherwise known as steam cleaning. We first of all deal with the dust content of the carpet with power vacuuming. Then we use a pressurized and heated pre-spray which breaks up the soiling. We use the best and safest product on the market for this, which does not attract soiling after the clean, which some cheap cleaners will do. It is also wool safe, baby and pet safe.

The carpet is then brushed with a soft brush to help the pre-spray break up the soiling even further.

We then use the machine to rinse out and extract the soiling, this uses high pressure water which is filtered and also heated to a high temperature to break up even more soiling. The temperature is controllable for heat sensitive fibres.

When the extraction is completed we can treat the carpet with an anti-stain protector if required. Finally the carpet is brushed out to groom and set the pile. Any wood or metal items of furniture are put on protective pads, supplied free, to avoid any staining, and overshoes are also supplied free so one can walk on the carpet immediately.

Dry cleaning is the other option, although we only recommend it for Belgian Wiltons, silk, grass etc. as it does not clean as thoroughly as deep extraction and it does not last as long. For more details on dry cleaning please contact David on 0800 298 7515

Upholstery cleaning

Very similar to carpet cleaning except the pre-spray is only applied by a hand held trigger spay to keep the upholstery as dry as possible. The tooling is very different in that it still uses high pressure, but far less volume of water, it also circulates so the rinse only goes through the fabric and does not penetrate the inners, therefore the upholstery is dry very quickly. The upholstery is then buffed off with a cloth just to set the nap and to check there is no soiling left. We also place the upholstery on protective sheeting to protect the carpet or hard flooring whilst cleaning.

Rug cleaning

Same procedures as carpet cleaning except we use a special rug tool to be able to clean the edges, and clean deep pile rugs, also keeping it as dry as possible and clean down to the base of the rug. If the rug is cleaned in-situ we will again place protective sheeting down to protect the carpet/hard floor.

Curtain Cleaning

We can clean curtains in-situ or take them away for cleaning. We first deal with the dust content with a special curtain tool. We remove all the dust from the linings as well as the main curtain and then we  water extract (as with carpets) if the type of curtain is suitable. Alternatively we can buff clean by hand with a specialized curtain cleaner. Again, if cleaned in-situ we place towels and protective sheeting in the area we are are cleaning.

We also sell the professional cleaning chemical that we use to prevent discolouration and attraction of soiling, and this does not affect any anti-stain treatments in the carpet.
